About Pasadena Fish Market

Located at 181 E Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91103, Pasadena Fish Market operates as a seafood market serving Pasadena in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Asian grocery stores and supermarkets stock ingredients, snacks and household goods that general American supermarkets often do not carry, organized by category rather than by country of origin in most stores. Produce and live or fresh seafood sections are usually at the back or side of the store, and weekend mornings bring the largest crowds and freshest restock. Many larger Asian supermarkets include a hot deli or food court counter selling prepared meals by the pound or as fixed plates, useful for a quick lunch while shopping. Labels are frequently bilingual or untranslated, so store staff can usually help locate a specific ingredient if you ask. Cash, cards and mobile pay are all commonly accepted at larger chains; smaller specialty shops may be cash-preferred.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–8 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Pasadena Fish Market at (626) 792-9233; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 553 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded seafood markets in Pasadena.

Pasadena is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Pasadena is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Came here late evening before close and tried the Oxtails, Rice & Peas and Plantains. Large portions and speedy service. Food was fresh and served standing hot. Oxtails were more on the savory side (I prefer extra spice) but they were delicious nonetheless. Will visit again to try the catfish.

I can't believe it took me so long to try this place. I am looking forward to going backand sad for the time I missed not trying it sooner. I ordered a fried shrimp poboy and a beef patty. I have not tried the beef patty yet because I am still full of delicious poboy. Bread was good soft inside with the right amount of crunch. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Staff was super friendly, this place will go heavily into the rotation. Do yourself a favor and just go!!!

I went for the first time two weeks ago and ordered fried catfish greens and sweet potatoes and let me tell you all of that food was wonderful. Make you want to slap somebody. It was so good. I live in Los Angeles and I'm driving back to Pasadena to get me some more of this wonderful fish πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™ŒπŸΎπŸ’œ

A nice fish market offering lots of fresh seafood and Jamaican cuisine. The fish are very fresh and cooked to order. They are mainly takeout and only have a single table in the corner for dining in. The Tilapia was delicious and not fishy at all. The Jamaican curried goat was also very tasty and satisfying. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Best to order ahead and takeout, since they cook things to order it can take around 15 minutes.
